WINNIPEG - Worcester scored three times in the third period as the Sharks topped the Manitoba Moose 5-2 in American Hockey League play Wednesday.

Ryan Vesce, with a goal and an assist, Dwight Helminen, Matt Jones, Dan DaSilva and T.J. Trevelyan scored for Worchester (37-19-5). Marty Murray had a goal and an assist for Manitoba (31-27-6), while Travis Ramsey also scored. Alex Stalock made 27 saves to pick up the win, while Daren Machesney was peppered in the Moose net, finishing with 38 saves.

Leading 2-1 after two periods, Trevelyan scored for the fourth straight game at 1:30 of the third to stretch the Sharks' lead.

Ramsey got one back for Manitoba at 14:29 for the 5-2 final.

The game started off well for the Moose as Murray buried a rebound past Stalock just 29 seconds into the first.

Helminen tied things on the power play at 5:14 of the second with a wicked snapshot over the shoulder of Machesney.

Jones then poked in a centring feed at 7:34 to give the Sharks a 2-1 advantage after two.
