BUFFALO, N.Y. - With No. 1 goalie Ryan Miller ready to return from an injury, the Buffalo Sabres have demoted backup Jhonas Enroth to Portland of the American Hockey League.
Enroth went 2-1-1 in four games with the Sabres, including registering his first career NHL win in a 3-2 shootout victory at Toronto on Nov. 6.
The move was announced Saturday, before Buffalo faced Washington at home. Miller is scheduled to start against the Capitals after missing six games because of a hip injury.
