Several St. Louis Blues hit the ice for an informal skate to kick off the 2015-16 season — not just figuratively, either. Watch as the Blues show off their straight-legged skating styles as they clown around on ice to kick off the new campaign.

There’s pressure on the St. Louis Blues to finally make a deep post-season run in 2015-16, but you wouldn’t know the team is feeling the heat by watching them take the ice for the first time at the Blues’ first informal skate of the season. In the short clip posted to the team’s Twitter account, Alex Pietrangelo, Petteri Lindbohm, Robby Fabbri and the newest Blue, Troy Brouwer, all fly out onto the ice, skating straight-legged and trying to stay upright. But instead, for 14 seconds, the video is like watching four- and five-year-old children scramble around the ice. One underrated part about the video is that by the time it ends, all but one St. Louis player is sprawled on the ice. And for the Blue in the yellow jersey, it seems to be a difficult task to stay upright. If the Blues are concerned at all about the upcoming season, it’s hard to tell. It’s good that they can poke fun at their time away from the rink, too. And it’s nice to see Brouwer has already ingratiated himself enough to teammates that he can take part in something so downright ridiculous to start the season. If team bonding or chemistry was any concern for Blues fans, it appears there’s no reason to worry.
