In his entire 11-year career, Calgary Flames center Matt Stajan hadn't scored a playoff goal, but he was mic'd up for his first ever post-season tally. In Game 6 of the series between the Flames and Vancouver Canucks, Stajan's goal was the series-winner and he added two assists en route to Calgary's 7-4 victory.

One of the great things about the playoffs every season is the NHL putting microphones on players to capture the audio from down on the ice. And every so often, they happen to mic up the perfect player in the perfect game. Case in point: Matt Stajan was mic'd up for Game 6 and scored the goal that clinched the series victory for the Calgary Flames late in the third period.

The goal itself is highlight enough -- a perfectly placed wristshot that found the top corner behind Vancouver Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller -- but listening to the Flames crowd explode from ice level after Stajan's shot hits the back of the net is outstanding. Check it out below:

As hard as it may be to believe, Stajan's goal was the first playoff tally of his career. At 31, Stajan has spent his career split between the Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs and hadn't seen post-season action in any of the past nine seasons.

Through the first five games of the first-round series, Stajan had only notched one assist, but broke out for three points in the series finale. Before scoring the game-winner with little more than four minutes remaining, Stajan registered the primary assist on Michael Ferland's goal that opened scoring for the Flames and started the comeback from a 3-0 deficit. He also added a secondary assist on Ferland's empty net goal that closed out the scoring for Calgary.
