WASHINGTON - The injury-depleted Washington Capitals dipped into the AHL yet again, recalling forward Oskar Osala from Hershey before Wednesday night's game against Boston.

The Capitals also sent forward Keith Aucoin and forward Bryan Helmer back to Hershey. The six-foot-four, 225-pound Osala was a fourth-round pick in the 2006 entry draft. He ranks third in the AHL with 16 goals this season.

Washington's latest hurt player is forward Tomas Fleischmann, who ranks third on the team with 10 goals this season.

"Every night it's something different," coach Bruce Boudreau said before Wednesday's game. "You've just got to go in the room and take a deep breath and say, 'OK. Everything's fine.' Other teams are experiencing the same thing."

With several key players sidelined by injuries - including forwards Alexander Semin, Sergei Fedorov and Chris Clark, and defenceman Mike Green - the Capitals have been forced to bring up a series of players from the minors recently.

Still, Washington leads the Southeast Division.

"We haven't got to a point where we're losing and then we're blaming it on the fact that we're hurting," Boudreau said. "The guys that are getting called up are doing a good job. It's not them. When we do lose, they're usually not the reason that we do lose."
