Henrik and Daniel Sedin are considered one of the premier duos in the league for good reason. Playing side by side for nine seasons, they have amassed 329 goals, 724 assists, and 1,053 points in 1,388 games combined.
But when Daniel was hit in the foot with an errant shot from teammate Alex Edler in October, Henrik was forced to go it alone. And as it turns out he picked up the slack left by his brother’s absence. Henrik is second in NHL scoring with 79 points and has already set a career high in goals with 25.
In the 37 games since his return, Daniel has 16 goals and 48 points. While these numbers are well off his career highs due to the broken foot, his points-per-game average is better than ever. The Canucks top line of the twins and Alex Burrows has helped elevate Vancouver to third in the Western Conference standings and they look to be a Stanley Cup contender. Rory Boylen takes a closer look at the dynamic duo.
