In the hockey world, much of the hype leading up to the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver has centered around the rivalry between Alex Ovechkin’s Russians and Sidney Crosby’s Canadians. But there is another Russian the home squad and all other opponents better be aware of.

While Evgeni Malkin may not be in the top 10 in NHL scoring this season, he is just one year removed from winning the Art Ross and Conn Smythe Trophies and deserves special attention every time he hits the ice. Malkin has represented his country at every level of international competition, but has never won gold.
