Nathan Beaulieu’s major junior career came to an end last spring with a heart-breaking loss to the Shawinigan Cataractes in the Memorial Cup semifinal. But despite that disappointment Beaulieu had quite a successful career with the Saint John Sea Dogs. The team captured the Quebec League championship twice during his three-year tenure and also won the Memorial Cup in 2011.
While it will be difficult to mimic that level of success as a professional, there is no doubt Habs fans are ecstatic about his winning pedigree. Ryan Kennedy caught up with Beaulieu at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase in Toronto to discuss his training regiment, the prospect of playing in Hamilton and more.
