There is little doubt the Carolina Hurricanes would not be in the playoff hunt without the stellar play of former Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup winner Cam Ward.
Ward’s .919 save-percentage is the best of his career and his 2.72 goals-against average is notable considering the Canes are not known as a defensive juggernaut. But even more impressive than his numbers is the calming presence the 26-year-old brings to the team.
