Washington (39-18-5) at Boston (42-12-8) 1:00 p.m. EST

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins have put their drought in
the past.

The Bruins go for their third straight win on Saturday when they
host the Washington Capitals.

Boston has sat atop the Eastern Conference for a majority of the
season but hit a rough patch earlier in February, going 1-4-2.

However, the Bruins have responded emphatically, scoring six
goals apiece while surrendering only one total tally in wins
over the Florida Panthers and Anaheim Ducks.

Chuck Kobasew and Michael Ryder recorded two goals apiece and
All-Star Tim Thomas turned aside all 35 shots he faced and added
an assist as the Bruins sealed the win against the Ducks by
scoring four times in the second period.

Boston will need more of the same against the Capitals, who
trail the Bruins by nine points in the East standings and have
split their last four games following a three-game win streak.

After dropping a 4-2 decision to the Philadelphia Flyers on
Tuesday, Washington rebounded by edging the Atlanta Thrashers,
4-3, on Thursday.
