According to Canadian sports network TSN, Sabres forward Tim Connolly has re-signed with the team for two years.
The deal is reportedly worth $4.5 million per season.
The oft-injured 27-year-old has 26 points in 29 games this season, but has missed 34 games with back and rib injuries.
Originally picked fifth overall by the Islanders in 1999, Connolly was rumored to be available on the trade market, but this signing surely takes out of that situation.
In 467 career NHL games, Connolly has 267 points.
