GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Coyotes will likely
give goaltender Mikael Tellqvist another start when they host
the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.

After a six-game losing streak, the Coyotes turned to Tellqvist
in place of struggling workhorse Ilya Bryzgalov. Tellqvist
played in each of the last three games and the results have been
positive.

Tellqvist picked up back-to-back wins before making 20 saves in
relief of Bryzgalov during Saturday's 3-2 loss to the San Jose
Sharks, who own the league's best record.

The 29-year-old Tellqvist, who has made 18 career starts since
entering the NHL during the 2002-03 season, is 3-2-1 with a 2.03
goals-against average and .940 save percentage on the campaign.

With Phoenix owning the worst offense in the Western Conference,
Tellqvist may need to be sensational again to pull the team back
to the .500 mark.

The Kings are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Alexander Frolov scored 57 seconds in the contest, but Los
Angeles' offense could not muster another goal.

The Kings may also be in the midst of a goaltending controversy
with Jason LaBarbera and Erik Ersberg alternating at the
position.
