TORONTO - New York Rangers left-wing Brendan Shanahan scored the 640th NHL goal of his career, tying Dave Andreychuk for 11th all-time, in a 6-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night.

"It's nice to do it in Toronto," said Shanahan, who hails from nearby Mimico, Ont. "I just want to keep scoring them."

With the Rangers enjoying a 5-on-3 power play in the second period, Shanahan, who turns 39 on Jan. 23, one-timed a pass from Jaromir Jagr from the point past Leafs goalie Andrew Raycroft at 7:54.

It was the 13th goal of the 2007-08 campaign for Shanahan, who has dressed in all 38 games for the Rangers this season. Shanhan's 640th goal came in his 1,455th NHL game.

Jagr also scored for the Rangers, who pounded the Leafs 6-1. It was Jagr's 631st goal; he sits 13th all-time.

Luc Robitaille sits in 10th place all-time with 668 goals. Wayne Gretzky is the NHL's all-time leader with 892 goals.

Andreychuk won a Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004 after successful stints with the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs. He scored 640 goals in a 1,639-game career that also saw him suit up for New Jersey, Boston and Colorado.
