HAMILTON, Ont. - Marty Sertich scored a power-play goal 3:58 into overtime as the Lake Erie Monsters came back to defeat the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-2 Monday night in the American Hockey League.

T.J. Hensick found Sertich in front of the net, and the Monsters forward ripped a shot that sailed past Hamilton starter Cedrick Desjardins. Trailing 2-0 after the first period, Ryan Stoa scored twice for the Monsters (18-19-4) to set the stage for Sertich's overtime winner. Hensick assisted on all three goals.

Mikael Johansson and Brock Trotter scored power-play goals in the first for Hamilton (26-9-6), which saw its four-game winning streak come to an end.

Tyler Weiman made 27 saves for Lake Erie, while Desjardins also stopped 27.

Hamilton opened the scoring on a power play at 3:28 of the first period when Johansson released a shot that beat Weiman low on the blocker side.

Trotter scored another power-play goal for Hamilton at 11:23. Ben Maxwell sent a pass to Trotter, who deked a sprawled Weiman before sending the puck off the crossbar and into the net.

The Monsters cut the lead in half at 4:57 of second period with a power-play goal. Brian Willsie tried to stuff the puck between Desjardins' pads. After failing on his attempt, Willsie flipped the puck to Stoa, who batted the puck past Desjardins and over the goal-line.

Stoa tied the game 2-2 at 9:23 of the third period. Hensick sent the puck to Stoa, who skated into the slot and rifled a shot past Desjardins.
