Mountain man Brent Burns of the San Jose Sharks will shave off his hair and beard in a fundraiser for three very special charities next week. It's the second year in a row he'll get a trim for a good cause.
What does Chewbacca look like with a buzzcut?
We may never know, but we'll soon see the next best thing: wild man Brent Burns of the San Jose Sharks, sans hair.
The Sharks defender will again shore off his out-of-control hair and beard for a good cause this year as part of Burnzie's Buzzcut, a stunt he pulled last year as well.
From now until Nov. 1, people can donate to help Burns raise $15,000 for charity.
Burnzie's Buzzcut aims to contribute $5,000 each to Defending the Blue Line, the Katie Moore Foundation and the San Francisco Zoo.
Defending the Blue Line aims to give children of military families the chance to play hockey.
The Katie Moore Foundation, set up by New York Rangers forward Dominic Moore and dedicated to his late wife, aims to raise money for families battling rare forms of cancer.
For a taste of the spectacle to come, here's a video of Burns getting his buzzcut last year.
But the real surprising part of all this?
It only took Burns a year to grow that lion's mane back.
