WINNIPEG - Alexander Salak made 24 saves and the Rochester Americans beat Manitoba 4-1 in American Hockey League on Tuesday, stopping the Moose's streak without a regulation loss at seven games.

Veteran Mike Keane opened the scoring for the Moose at 16:16 of the first period when his wrist shot went between Salak's pads. The Americans answered 21 seconds later when Cory Schneider saved Jeff Taffe's shot, but Michal Repik shot the rebound into an open net.

The Americans were outshooting Manitoba 22-12 by the midway point of the game.

Graham Mink put Rochester (18-3-1) up 2-1 at 18:08 of the second period, scoring on a 5-on-3 advantage.

Just 51 seconds later and with Rochester still on a power play, Jason Garrison fired the puck through traffic and over a screened Schneider to give Rochester a two-goal lead.

After the Americans killed off a four-minute penalty to Brady Calla for high-sticking in the third period, they put the game with Evgeny Dadonov's goal.

Schneider stopped 28 shots for the Moose (13-10-4).
