According to a report from RDS.ca, citing sources from Russia, the Washington Capitals' Sergei Fedorov is close to accepting a two-year deal to join Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental League.

Fedorov, who would reportedly make $3.8 million per season, would join his younger brother Fedor on the team.

The 39-year-old scored 11 goals and 33 points in 52 regular season games with the Caps this season and added eight points in 14 post-season games. A veteran of 18 NHL seasons, Fedorov won three Stanley Cups in Detroit, a Hart Trophy and two Selke's.
