VANCOUVER, B.C. - Mason Raymond and Jannik Hansen scored two goals apiece as the Vancouver Canucks beat the Edmonton Oilers 6-3 Saturday night.

Kyle Wellwood and Jason Krog also scored for the Canucks (4-4-0) as they ended a three-game losing streak before a sellout crowd of 18,630 at General Motors Place. Wellwood's goal proved to be the game-winner.

Denis Grebeshkov, Robert Nilsson, Steve Staios replied for the Oilers (4-3-0) as they suffered their third straight loss following four consecutive wins to start the season.

Vancouver's much-maligned power play units scored on four of six opportunities. Before Saturday, the Canucks had converted only three of 33 power play chances on the season.

Raymond opened the scoring on a power play 3:25 into the first period as he burst down the right wing and, using Steve Bernier as a decoy on a 2-on-1, beat Edmonton goaltender Mathieu Garon with a wrist shot to the short side. The goal came after Bernier blocked a Denis Grebeshkov shot at the Vancouver blue line.

Grebeshkov made it a 1-1 tie only 53 seconds into the second period as he roofed a goalmouth pass from Robert Nilsson over Vancouver goaltender Robert Luongo.

Raymond and Hansen scored 55 seconds apart to put the Canucks ahead 3-1 before the period was nine minutes old. Edmonton lost veteran winger Erik Cole midway through the period as he was ejected for not having his jersey tied down during a fight with Mattias Ohlund.

But Nilsson brought the Oilers back within a goal at 13:31, on a long wrist shot from the boards that Luongo mishandled.

Less than three minutes later, Staios forged a 3-3 tie. He received a fortuitous bounce after Sam Gagner's blocked shot was redirected right to him as, unguarded, he pinched down to the left wing and was left with a gaping net.

Gagner was awarded a penalty shot at 17:48 after Canucks defenceman Alex Edler hooked him as he tried to deke Luongo on a breakaway. But Luongo nonchalantly gloved his wrist shot.

Wellwood gave Vancouver a 4-3 lead on a power play at 2:32 of the third period. After getting the puck from Ryan Kesler, he faked a pass and then beat Garon with a wrist shot to his glove side.

Hansen's second goal of the night gave the Canucks a two-goal edge just over five minutes later.
