Forsberg has played in seven of 10 games since being acquired from Philadelphia, scoring his only goal with his new team on Feb. 24 against the Red Wings.

He had three assists in his last game - March 3 at Los Angeles - but has been out since and is listed as day to day. Forsberg has one goal and five assists for Nashville.

In a bold move last month, the Predators acquired the former NHL MVP for forward Scottie Upshall, defenceman Ryan Parent and two draft picks.

Forsberg, slowed this season by chronic right foot problems, can become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

The star Swede had 11 goals and 29 assists in 40 games for the Flyers this season, his second with Philadelphia after 10 years with Quebec and Colorado.

Forsberg is a seven-time all-star and was the NHL MVP while playing with the Avalanche in 2003. He helped Colorado win the Stanley Cup in 1996 and 2001.
