The Hockey News Player of the Week for the period of Feb. 25 to March 2 is Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas.

The 33-year-old netminder went 3-0 in that stretch, with home wins against Atlanta, Pittsburgh and a shutout versus Ottawa.

Thomas helped to extend Boston's winning streak to six games, with a 0.97 GAA and .962 save percentage in his last three games.

He is second in overall save percentage, at .925, two points behind Pittsburgh's Ty Conklin (.927) and is tenth in the league in goals-against average, with a 2.36 mark.
