First Hockey Memory: "When I got my first skates when I was six years old. I skate when I first stepped on the ice."
Hockey Inspiration: "Obviously I love the passion about this game and inspiration, the feeling in the locker room after we win a game. And be around the boys. It's a lot of fun to be around this game."
Nickname: " ‘Kubi.’ "
Last Book Read: "A couple of weeks ago I read Not Without Hope. About the four guys who went out on a boat for fishing and three guys died. So it was a very sad book."
Favorite Movies: "Pirates Of The Caribbean. I really like that one."
Current Car: "Mercedes."
First Job: "Hockey."
Greatest Sports Moment: "Oh there's a couple, obviously when we won the Stanley Cup in 2004. And my first NHL hockey game in '98 against Chicago. I remember it like it was a couple of years ago. It was a home game. And my first game for national team, too."
Most Painful Moment: "When you get hurt. That's always a painful moment."
Favorite Uniforms: "Lightning."
Most Memorable Goal: "Probably my first NHL goal, it was against Ottawa. That's, I think, the best goal."
Funniest Players Encountered: "Andre Roy."
Toughest Competitors Encountered: "I remember when I played against Martin St-Louis it was always tough. Because he's good, he does everything for a team and it's always tough to play against him. Because he's so good on the ice and you never know what he's going to do. So I will take him."
Embarrassing Hockey Memory: "Any time you lose badly, like we lost in Boston 8-1. That was embarrassing. You don't want to see that as a hockey player."
Funny Hockey Memory: "Many. Especially in the locker room with the guys it's always fun. Andre Roy, he was funny every day. He always came in with a great attitude; he made everybody laugh every day. He was just a big funny guy in the locker room. Then, when he played, he fought for everybody. He was a tough guy and a funny man."
Strangest Game: "Many. Sometimes, I remember you are down four or five goals and you come back in the third and it's always a great comeback. Sometimes you are up that many goals and the other team comes back. But other than that I don't have any strange games coming to mind right now."
Favorite Arenas To Play: "I like St. Pete Times Forum. If you go on the road, fun place, good crowd, I would say...thinking...you know what's special when you play in? Madison Square Garden in New York against the Rangers. It's always good atmosphere and you can feel the tradition in that building."
Closest NHL Friends: "On this team - Vinny Lecavalier. Marty St-Louis. I know them for a long time. We won the Stanley Cup together. Something you accomplish together - you are friends for life."
Favorite Sport Outside Hockey: "Soccer."
People/Personality Qualities Most Admired: "I like respectful people, when they have respect for the other people. Especially my teammates. Humble people. And people who do whatever they say."
