SUNRISE, Fla. - The Florida Panthers have traded centre Dominic Moore to the Montreal Canadiens for a second-round draft pick in 2011.

Moore, signed by the Panthers as a free agent after the start of the 2009-10 season, had eight goals and nine assists in 48 games for Florida.

Moore is a six-year veteran who has also played for the Rangers, Penguins, Wild, Maple Leafs and Sabres.

His most productive season came in 2008-09 when he had 13 goals and 32 assists while splitting time between Toronto and Buffalo.

In a separate transaction, the Canadiens also recalled defenceman P.K. Subban from the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs.

The 20-year-old has played in 52 games with the Bulldogs this season, ranking third amongst AHL defencemen in points with 11 goals and 28 assists.

Subban was drafted by Montreal in the second round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
