GM Dale Tallon dealt four draft picks and added three players on Saturday.

The Atlantic Division-leading Florida Panthers stocked up ahead of the trade deadline making three acquisitions on Saturday.

General manager Dale Tallon added Jiri Hudler, Jakub Kindl and Teddy Purcell in three separate trades as the Panthers look to qualify for the postseason for just the fourth time in 20 years.

Florida sent a second-round selection in the 2016 NHL draft and a fourth-round pick in 2018 to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Hudler.

The 32-year-old has 10 goals and 25 points in 53 games with Calgary this season. Hudler is in the final year of his four-year, $16 million deal and set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

“He is a highly skilled and experienced player that adds leadership, character and offensive ability to our team,” said Tallon in a statement.

The Panthers then sent a 2017 sixth-round pick to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for Kindl.

According to Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston, Detroit will retain 15 percent of the defenseman’s salary.

"The biggest thing is it clears $2 million of cap space heading into the summer, when I got a number of restricted free agents to sign," Red Wings GM Ken Holland told MLive.com. "We'll see where the cap is and how active we can be (with unrestricted free agency)."

Kindl has one season remaining on his four-year, $9.6 million deal before becoming an unrestricted free agent in July 2017.

"I think Jakub is an NHL defenseman, he's done a nice job on the second power-play unit when we put him in," said Holland. "He just hasn't been able to establish himself."

The 29-year-old had two goals and four assists in 25 games with Detroit while averaging 16:27 a night in ice time.

Tallon then sent a 2016 third-round to the Edmonton Oilers for Purcell.

Purcell is in the final year of his three-year, $13.5 million deal.

The 30-year old scored 11 goals and 32 points in 61 games with the Oilers this season.
