NHL Players’ Association Executive Director Paul Kelly announced Bob Lindquist has agreed to join the NHLPA as a Collective Bargaining Agreement consultant regarding Hockey Related Revenue matters.

A chartered accountant, Lindquist is respected for a long and distinguished career and is coming out of a short retirement to fill the role. He will be responsible for ensuring NHLPA members receive the appropriate share (over 55.6%) of revenues as defined in the CBA.

“Bob’s extensive knowledge and experience will be a great resource for the NHLPA,” said Kelly. “I know firsthand from working with Bob over the years that he will work vigorously to protect players’ rights under the CBA, while at the same time, striving to maintain a professional relationship with the NHL and its member clubs.”

Lindquist is credited with helping to create and develop the discipline of forensic and investigative accounting. He has been involved in many high profile investigations on behalf of corporations and governments, including Bre-X Minerals, the Volcker Commission and the World Bank Loan program.
