TORONTO - The NHL Players' Association has resolved a dispute with former executive director Paul Kelly.

The union released a short statement Tuesday saying that all matters regarding Kelly's employment had been worked out.

The terms of the agreement and the nature of the dispute were not disclosed.

The statement also said the "association and its members appreciate the service and contributions of Mr. Kelly, as well as his commitment to the National Hockey League Players' Association and its members."

Kelly was fired on Aug. 31 during a late-night meeting in Chicago.

A search for his replacement is underway.
