GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Alexandre Bolduc scored the winning goal as the Manitoba Moose took a 3-0 stranglehold in the American Hockey League North Division final with a 3-1 win over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday.

Matt Pope and Jason Jaffray, into an empty net, also scored for the Moose, who extended their playoff winning streak to six games.

Game 4 is Wednesday in Grand Rapids.

Manitoba opened the scoring at 8:06 of the first period. Directly after the face-off, Pope picked the puck up from the slot and sent a wrist shot past Jimmy Howard.

Bolduc extended the Moose's lead to two goals and his point streak to three games with a goal at 19:28 of the first.

Francis Pare beat Cory Schneider at 12:29 of the second period to narrow the lead to 2-1.

Grand Rapids benefited from their sixth power play when Dusty Collins was sent off for interference 2:27 into the third, but Manitoba's penalty killers continued their flawless play and allowed just one shot on net.

Opting to pull Howard in the final minute, the Griffins gave up the puck at centre ice and Jaffray put the game away for the Moose.

Schneider finished with 23 saves, while Howard made 25 stops.
