ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild have re-signed centre Kyle Brodziak to a three-year deal.

Brodziak, in his third year with Minnesota after being acquired from Edmonton in 2009, was due to become an unrestricted free agent.

He's in the final year of a three-year contract that will pay him US$1.3 million this season, and he entered Sunday's game against Boston third on the team in scoring with 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists).

"Obviously I'm really happy and just happy it's done with and now I can concentrate more on playing hockey," Brodziak said after the Wild beat Boston 2-0.

The Oilers drafted Brodziak in 2003. He scored 26 goals in 175 games with Edmonton.

"I've never had to deal with anything like this before, so it was definitely on my mind. I'm happy to be part of the organization for a few more years and looking forward to it."
