BOSTON - Mike Santorelli and Cory Stillman scored in a shootout to lift the Florida Panthers to a 3-2 pre-season victory over the Boston Bruins on Saturday night.
Scott Clemmensen stopped all three Boston attempts in the shootout—the third against top Bruins prospect Tyler Seguin—as the Panthers completed their comeback from a 2-0 deficit.
Tuukka Rask gave up two goals in the third period and was then beaten by both shootout tries as the Bruins fell to 1-1-1—0-1-1 against Florida. The Panthers are 2-1 in the pre-season.
Seguin, the No. 2 pick in the June draft, and the newly acquired Nathan Horton scored second-period goals to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead entering the third. But Radek Dvorak and Kenndal McArdle scored in the first 8:46 of the third period to tie it, with Marty Reasoner assisting on both goals.
