McLeod counts two second-period goals as Salmon Kings win 6-3 over Falcons

Gustav Engman and Milan Gajic gave the Salmon Kings a 2-0 lead after the first period. McLeod, with two, and Seamus Young made it 6-0 through 40 minutes for Victoria (4-4-0-1), which moved into second place in the West Division - a point ahead of Alaska, Utah and Phoenix.

Cory Murphy, with two, and Tyler Kindle responded in the third period for Fresno (6-2-0).

Greg Hornby added the final goal for the Salmon Kings, with Gajic and Wes Goldie contributing a pair of assists in the match.

Falcons goalie Ryan MacDonald allowed five goals on 20 shots before Scott Stirling came on after the second intermission and made six saves in the final period.

Both teams converted twice on nine power-play chances.
