According to a report, the Toronto Maple Leafs have bought out Darcy Tucker’s contract.

The gritty forward had three years left on his current deal.

"Its a business, Darcy knows that," Tucker's agent Carlos Sosa told Canadian sports station TSN.

The Maple Leafs will be charged $6 million, two-thirds of the remainder of his contract, which totaled $9 million over three years.

The 33-year old had been with the Leafs for eight seasons, but struggled with 18 goals and 34 points in 74 games this season.

Details to follow.
