The 32-year-old is expected to be dealt by Toronto prior to Monday's trade deadline.

The Toronto Maple Leafs’ trade plans ahead of Monday’s trade deadline may no longer include P.A. Parenteau.

The Leafs forward left Saturday night’s game in Montreal near the midway mark of the first period and did not return.

The team announced soon after that the 32-year-old suffered an upper body injury.

The pending unrestricted free agent collided with Lars Eller on his final shift and left the game soon after.

Parenteau has 16 goals and 16 assists in 59 games this season. With an expiring contract, the Quebec native was expected to be dealt prior to the deadline as part of the Leafs rebuild process.

On Saturday afternoon the Leafs dealt veteran goaltender James Reimer to the San Jose Sharks as part of a four player trade.
