Calgary (2-3-1) at Nashville (3-4-0) 8:00 pm. EDT

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- After a rough start, the
Calgary Flames hope Miikka Kiprusoff is rounding back into the
form which saw him win the Vezina Trophy in 2006.

Kiprusoff and the Flames aim for a second straight win on
Thursday when they visit the Nashville Predators.

Calgary got off to its worst five-game start (1-3-1) since
2005-06 due to the struggles of Kiprusoff, who posted a 4.37
goals-against average in that span. However, the Finn showed
flashes of his dominant self on Tuesday, stopping 30 shots in a
2-1 victory over Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.

"A very sharp goaltender tonight," Flames coach Mike Keenan said
of Kiprusoff. "Very, very sharp. That looked like Miikka
tonight."

Captain Jarome Iginla and Matthew Lombardi each scored for
Calgary, which snapped a two-game skid.

Kiprusoff will try to slow down the Predators, who have gotten a
much-needed rest after playing six games in nine days.
Nashville has not played since recording a 6-3 triumph over the
Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday in the finale of a
home-and-home series.

Defenseman Shea Weber recorded a goal and three assists in the
victory.
