WINNIPEG - Martins Karsums scored the winning goal Tuesday as the Norfolk Admirals earned their second 3-1 American Hockey League win over the Manitoba Moose in as many nights.

Tommy Maxwell opened the scoring for Manitoba (8-6-2) at 8:34 of the first period. Norfolk goaltender Riku Helenius went behind his net to clear the puck, but gave it to Manitoba centre Derek LeBlanc, who fed the puck to Maxwell for his first of the season.

The Admirals tied the game 1-1 midway through the second period. Dana Tyrell flew down the left wing but his shot was stopped by Daren Machesney. Paul Szczechura grabbed the rebound and jammed it under the Manitoba netminder.

With 2:22 left in the second, Karsums charged the net and beat Machesney high to put Norfolk up 2-1.

The Admirals (5-6-0) added an insurance goal in the third. With seconds left in John Lammers' hooking penalty, Adam Hall deflected the puck into the net with his elbow during a scramble in front of Machesney.

Machesney stopped 26 of 29 shots in his fifth consecutive appearance.
