Hockey Inspiration: "When I was a young kid I always looked up to Bobby Orr. My favorite team when I was a young kid was the Chicago Blackhawks. I used to always watch them. I liked guys like Whitey Stapleton and Pierre Pilote."
Favorite Movie: "Shawshank Redemption."
Hobbies/Leisure Activities: "Golf, fishing."
Greatest Sports Moment: "Well, I think it'll be the day when we lift the Stanley Cup here. But the greatest memory I think is your first NHL goal. I think every kid will remember that. I got called up from the American Hockey League (Richmond Robins), I played for Philadelphia. Going in that dressing room and playing that night is something I'll always remember. All the great older guys in that dressing room who helped me out, like Eddie Van Impe and Joey Watson. They went out of their way to help me out."
Most Painful Moment: "The day you retire (1982 with Hartford)."
Favorite Arena To Play: "I used to like playing in the old Boston Garden and the old stadium in Chicago. Those were two great stadiums as well as the Montreal Forum."
Closest Hockey Friends: "In Vancouver, Harold Snepsts and I are great friends."
Funniest Player Encountered: "When I played with Steve Coates in Richmond, he was that kind of guy."
Funny Hockey Memory: "When I played for the Flyers we had a lot of guys who used to cut the guy’s pant legs and nail shoes to the floor and that kind of stuff. 'The Hound' Bob Kelly did a lot of that."
Favorite Players To Watch: "I loved watching Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky."
Most Memorable Goal: "Your first goal (1975-76). You always remember your first goal. It was here in Philadelphia against Vancouver. It was from the blueline. Blew it right by him (smiles)."
Personality Qualities Most Admired: "You're always looking for guys who put the team first. And come to the rink ready to work every day. Those are great attributes."
