CHICAGO - Leland Irving turned aside all 13 shots the Chicago Wolves could muster and helped the Abbotsford Heat to a 3-0 victory in American Hockey League action Wednesday.

The Wolves (3-2-0) had their three-game winning streak ended with the lacklustre effort.

"We were real flat and had no physicality tonight and they are a young gun, hardworking team," said Wolves Head Coach Don Lever.

"I guess this has been coming after we were able to come back in two straight games. We can't let them outwork us."

Abbotsford (3-2-1) moved into first place in the North Division with the win, one point ahead of Rochester.

The Heat opened the scoring 11:58 into the first period. Right-wing Jon Rheault's shot slipped between Wolves netminder Edward Pasquale's legs and into the back of the net.

Left-wing Cam Cunning scored on a power play with 4:06 remaining to put the Heat on top 2-0. Defenceman T.J. Brodie fed a pass to Cunning, who was parked at the top of the crease and flipped a quick shot past Pasquale.

Centre Matt Keith added a second power-play goal for the Heat at 16:21 of the third period when he drove in on Pasquale and beat the goaltender on his glove side.

Pasquale posted 20 saves for the Wolves in his first professional loss.
