Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg scored an unbelievable goal against Nashville, banking the puck in off the Predator goalie's head on a shot from below the goal line.
Henrik Zetterberg took the term “cerebral player” to a new level on Saturday.
The Detroit Red Wings captain scored an unbelievable goal with a bank shot off the side of Nashville netminder Marek Mazanec’s head on Saturday.
With Detroit up 3-1 on the power play, Zetterberg took the puck into the corner and threw it out front while standing on one of the trapezoid lines behind the net.
The puck wobbled through the air, striking Mazanec on the side of the mask before drifting lazily across the net and finding twine in the far high corner.
The referees looked confused at first and had to discuss the play, but they ended up correctly awarding the goal.
