Detroit Red Wings winger Gustav Nyquist scored a goal you’ll be seeing on hockey highlights for years. Watch as he winds through the Senators zone with a 28-second individual effort that resulted in the overtime winner.

There’s a highlight of Steve Yzerman that almost everyone knows. He makes a few moves against the Chicago Blackhawks, circles the zone for what feels like forever before finally burying an unbelievable goal.

On Saturday night, not only did Gustav Nyquist score the overtime winner to lift the Detroit Red Wings over the Ottawa Senators 3-2, the goal he scored may actually be better than that of Yzerman's.

All told, Nyquist held the puck for 28 seconds. If you need to take a second to think about that, you wouldn’t be the only one. That’s about the length of your standard commercial.

Clarke MacArthur, who was giving chase for a good, long while on Nyquist’s goal, had to peel off and stop giving chase. Then it was Jared Cowen who tried his hand. And then came the finish, an absolute laser of a wrist shot that found the back of the net. The unassisted goal was Nyquist’s 15th of the season.
