NEWARK, N.J. - Philadelphia Flyers left winger Simon Gagne was scratched from Thursday's game against the New Jersey Devils after complaining of dizziness stemming from a collision with Pittsburgh's Gary Roberts.

The hit occurred in the third period of Philadelphia's 3-1 road win Wednesday night.

"He went back to the hotel and he said he was a little dizzy and had a headache," Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said Thursday. "He was a little better this morning, but as the day went on he was a little shaky. He'll see the doctor in the morning."

Gagne missed four games due to dizziness before returning Monday night against the New York Rangers. He was knocked out of a game against Florida on Oct. 24 after being checked by Panthers defenceman Jay Bouwmeester.

Gagne, the Flyers' leading scorer last season with 41 goals, has four goals and four assists in 10 games this season.

The Flyers announced Thursday they recalled forward Stefan Ruzicka from the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL.
