PHILADELPHIA - Veteran Flyers defenceman Chris Pronger will be sidelined four to six weeks with a broken bone in his right foot.
He was scheduled to have surgery Friday to repair the injury, which occurred in Thursday's game against Montreal.
In 31 games this season, the 36-year-old Pronger has four goals and 11 assists. He was injured in the second period in Montreal and did not play in the third.
The team also said defenceman Matt Walker underwent surgery Thursday to remove inflamed tissue in his hip. He will miss six to eight weeks.
