After dumping the puck into the Flames' zone, Canucks blueliner Luca Sbisa got absolutely run over by Michael Ferland. The hit by Ferland literally sent Sbisa flying into the boards, but somehow he was able to pop right back up.

Through two games of Calgary's first-round matchup with Vancouver, rookie Michael Ferland has been making a name for himself by throwing his body around. And for those who may not have taken notice of Ferland yet, it'll be hard to forget him after the exploding hit he threw on Canucks blueliner Luca Sbisa.

Early in the first frame of Game 3, Sbisa carried the puck through the neutral zone and fired the puck into the Flames' zone. Unfortunately for Sbisa, he didn't see Ferland pursuing him from the right side. When the two came together, Ferland sent Sbisa flying with a massive body check:

Through 40 minutes, Ferland had been credited with seven hits and continues to draw the ire of the Canucks' lineup with his physical play. Though he hasn't found the score sheet since the first game of the series, Ferland's crash and bang style is what's keeping him in the lineup.

During the regular season, the 22-year-old drew into just 26 games, scoring two goals, five points and averaging two and a half hits per outing. He's upped his hit total in the post-season, though, throwing his body around with increased regularity.
