Anaheim Ducks' goaltender Frederik Andersen will soon be entering the cage with a brand new Reservoir Dogs themed mask which has been dubbed “Reservoir Ducks” by he and artist David Gunnarsson. This mask is incredible.
There’s something fitting about Anaheim Ducks’ goaltender Frederik Andersen donning a mask featuring one of the most famous crime movies of all-time. After all, his work in usurping former Ducks keeper Jonas Hiller’s place was a heist the likes of which we rarely see anymore. And some of the saves he's made this season are criminal in their own right. Andersen, with the help of Swedish goalie mask artist/wizard David Gunnarsson, will enter the cage with a brand new
Reservoir Dogs themed mask which has been dubbed “Reservoir Ducks” by the duo. Take a look:
With a post to the left of him, post to the right, there Andersen is: between the pipes for the Ducks. Primarily featuring the look of Mr. Blonde, one of the cult-classic’s most iconic characters from Quentin Tarantino’s first major directorial debut, the mask also makes sure to include a bit of a throwback to the Mighty Ducks. And, as seen on the left side of the mask, what would a true Reservoir Duck be without the classic sunglasses? On Gunnarsson's website, along with the images, he wrote to say fans can expect to see more movie-themed masks from Andersen in the future. What film would you like to see most on the Danish keeper's mask?
