Don't split conferences in playoffs

In the current playoff setup we end up seeing the same teams playing each other year after year.

I would love to be able to see (for example) Boston play Anaheim in the first or second round or Colorado playing Detroit in the Stanley Cup final.

Divisional rivalries have long been established and it would be good to reconsider ranking the teams one through 16 for the playoffs with the top seed playing 16, two playing 15, etc.

This would give fans in the west a chance to see Crosby in the playoffs even if Pittsburgh doesn't make it to the finals.
