The Ottawa Senators sniper finally collected his first point in the Stanley Cup final with a big goal in the second period Monday night. But Heatley couldn't enjoy it much after a 3-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks left the Senators facing a 3-1 series deficit heading back to California for Game 5 Wednesday night.

"At this point it's irrelevant, we lost the game," said Heatley. "Whether you're scoring or you're not, it's all about winning and losing."

Expectations have been high for Heatley and linemates Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson. With his team leading 21 playoff points, Heatley was expected to be a force in the final but hasn't been much of a threat.

Some have wondered if the 26-year-old might be playing injured, but with six shots and a goal in Game 4, Heatley delivered his best game of the series in a losing cause.

"We've got to keep getting better," said Heatley. "Two goals is not good enough when they score three. We can't look at the past, we can't look at the history, we can't look at the odds. It's all about one game at a time."
