Stefan Legein, a 20-year-old prospect for the Columbus Blue Jackets who decided to quit hockey before this season, has decided he wants to return, according to the Columbus Post-Dispatch.

"I don't think anything has changed with Stefan other than he wants to play again," his agent Doug Woods told the newspaper. "He misses the game."

Legein is currently on the Jackets’ suspended list after leaving the game due to a “lack of desire.” The club’s second round pick (37th overall) in 2007 scored 37 points in 30 games for the Ontario League’s Niagara IceDogs last season, before joining the American League Syracuse Crunch for two playoff games.

"If he's ready to do this, and display the necessary passion, I have compassion for him, and we'll welcome him back. I'm sure his teammates would, too,” Columbus GM Scott Howson was quoted in the Dispatch.

Upon return, Legein would most likely join the Crunch.
