COLUMBUS, Ohio - Pascal Leclaire is staying with the only NHL team he's ever played for.

The Columbus Blue Jackets agreed to a US$11.4-million, three-year contract with their No. 1 goalie on Wednesday.

Leclaire is coming off his best NHL season. He was 24-17-6 with a 2.25 goals-against average, a 919 save percentage and nine shutouts in 54 games with the Blue Jackets last year.

The 25-year-old also played for the Canadian team that won silver at the IIHF World Hockey Championship in Quebec City and Halifax.

"We're very happy to have signed Pascal to a new contract that will keep him with the Blue Jackets for the next three seasons," said GM Scott Howson. "He is an important part of our team and we think he will continue to improve and play a significant role in helping us reach our goals."

Leclaire was drafted eighth overall by Columbus in 2001. In 113 career games, he has a record of 41-49-11 record with a 2.71 GAA, .911 save percentage and 10 shutouts.
