DENVER - A couple former Toronto Maple Leafs have found a new home with the Colorado Avalanche.
The Avs signed forward Darcy Tucker to a US$4.5-million, two-year contract on Tuesday and gave goalie Andrew Raycroft a one-year deal worth $800,000.
Both players had their contracts bought out by the Leafs last week.
Tucker is a veteran of 813 NHL games with Montreal, Tampa and Toronto. He had 18 goals and 34 points in 74 games for the Maple Leafs this past season.
Raycroft was in Toronto the past two years but saw limited action last season. He had a 2-9-5 record.
"Andrew has played many seasons at the NHL level," said Avalanche GM Francois Giguere. "His experience will be an asset to our organization."
