Victories by the Anaheim Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers locked the first-round playoff series in place, and the schedule for the opening round has been released. Three games will open the post-season Wednesday, and there could be three Game 7s on April 27. Take a look at the full schedule.

For the fourth consecutive season, the Ducks have clinched the Pacific Division title and, with the victory, Anaheim has given some clarity to the Western Conference playoff picture. And while the Flyers barely snuck into the playoffs, their victory on the final day of the regular season locked the Eastern Conference matchups, as well.

Anaheim’s victory locked the Ducks’ first-round series against the Nashville Predators into place and bumped the Los Angeles Kings out of top spot in the Pacific and into a first-round meeting with the impressive San Jose Sharks. The West’s other division, the Central, already had its matchups set heading into Sunday, though.

The Central-champion Dallas Stars will take on the Wild in a series that sees the franchise that left the State of Hockey take on the club that filled its place in Minnesota. Meanwhile, the St. Louis Blues will open up with home-ice advantage against the Chicago Blackhawks for the second time in the past three seasons.

As for the East, Philadelphia’s win — or, more accurately, the New York Islanders’ loss — sets the stage for the Eastern Conference’s opening round. The loss by the Islanders has earned them a date with the Atlantic Division-champion Florida Panthers, while the second-seeded Tampa Bay Lightning will host the Detroit Red Wings for the second-straight year.

In the Metropolitan Division, the Washington Capitals, who ran away with the Presidents’ Trophy, will host the surging Flyers to open the playoffs. And because the Islanders lost, the third-seeded New York Rangers will head to Pittsburgh to face the red-hot Penguins to open the playoffs.

The longest the first round can go is until Wednesday, April 27, and there’s potential for three series’ to have Game 7s that evening. Below is the entire first-round schedule. All start times are listed in Eastern Time. Game denoted with an asterisk (*) will only be played if necessary.
