Hamilton has a 2-0 lead in the Calder Cup second-round series after sweeping the first two games in Winnipeg. The series shifts to Hamilton for Game 3 on Tuesday. Game 4 and Game 5, if necessary, will also be at Copps Coliseum,

D'Agostini brought the puck into the Moose zone and blasted a slapshot past goaltender Drew MacIntyre at 4:37 of the final period. The puck caught the inside of the right post as D'Agostini scored his first goal of the playoffs.

Maxim Lapierre and Cory Urquhart scored the other Hamilton goals, while Yannick Tremblay and Lee Goren replied for Manitoba.

MacIntyre had 20 saves for the Moose.

The Moose tested Price early on in the opening period, outshooting Hamilton 17-8. It was the Bulldogs who found the back of the net first though, as Urquhart scored his second goal of the playoffs midway through the period.

Despite failing to convert on a two-man advantage in the first period for the second straight game, the Moose tied things up late in the period on a power play. Tremblay rifled a shot from just inside the Bulldogs' blue-line that fooled Price. Jason Jaffray picked up an assist on the goal, extending his point-scoring streak to six games.

Both teams exchanged good scoring chances in the second period, with Price and MacIntyre both looking sharp. Manitoba outshot Hamilton nine to five.

The third period started with a bang as Goren scored his third goal of the playoffs, and second of the series, just 1:30 in. Goren fired a bullet at the net that hit the cross bar and fell behind Price, but not clearly over the goal-line. After talking it over with the goal judge, the referee awarded Goren the goal and Manitoba took a 2-1 lead.

Manitoba's first lead of the series was short lived, however, as Hamilton scored two goals in just over three minutes to take a 3-2 lead. Lapierre recorded his fifth goal of the post-season, before D'Agostini capped the scoring.

Price took over form there, making 17 saves in the final period.

Manitoba outshot Hamilton 43-23 overall.
