MONTREAL - Forward Sergei Kostitsyn was called up from AHL Hamilton on Wednesday to join his older brother Andrei with the Montreal Canadiens.

Sergei Kostitsyn, 20, the Bulldogs scoring leader, was third among AHL rookies with six goals and 16 assists in 22 games this season. He was drafted in the seventh round, 200th overall, in 2005, while Andrei Kostitsyn was taken 10th overall in 2003.

Andrei, 22, has four goals and seven assists this season for Montreal.

Sergei had 131 points (40 goals, 91 assists) in 59 games with the London Knights of the OHL last season. He played on a line with two of the top picks from the draft in June - Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks and Sam Gagner of the Edmonton Oilers.

The Canadiens have struggled in the offensive zone of late, averaging two goals per game over their last nine contests. Kostitsyn will join the Canadiens for Thursday night's game in Philadelphia.
