St. Louis Blues goaltender Brian Elliott will pay tribute to members of both the American and Canadian military with a special mask that will later be auctioned off with all proceeds going to charity.

When Brian Elliott takes the ice on Tuesday night, something is going to look different. The mask he wears – night in and night out – won’t be getting the start. Instead, Elliott will don a special mask, dedicated to both veterans and those currently serving their country. Head Strong Grafx designed Elliott’s mask, but the presentation of the mask came from 92-year-old Charles Rohde, a World War II veteran.

Elliott Mask 2 Elliott will only wear the mask, which features a salute to both Canadian and American soldiers, for Tuesday’s game. It will be auctioned off at a later date with all proceeds going to charity. The St. Louis Blues will also have their own ceremony for current and veteran troops during Tuesday’s Salute to the Military Night at the Scottrade Center. The Blues will warm up in camouflage jerseys that will be raffled off, with all proceeds going to military charities.
Mr. Charles Rohde
